What is biblical counseling?

It's the ministry of God's Word in the context of a personal conversation. The conversation involves a church leader or lay person and someone who desires biblical answers and help for the questions or problems they are experiencing. Biblical counseling is a soul care ministry that Christ has given to His church that is to be carried out informally in the context of relationships and formally by the leaders in the church (I Thessalonians 5:12-14). Biblical counseling can help with all kinds of issues and problems—marriage, parenting, anger, anxiety, grief, fear, addictions, conflict resolution and much more.
